She was born in Utica, NY on June 2, 1940, a daughter of the late John and Emily (Maciol) Dziok. She was a 1958 graduate of Whitesboro High School.
Joan was employed for many years with Chicago Pneumatic Co. of Utica and the Federal Reserve Bank of Rome, NY. She was an avid crafter and regularly visited craft shows and designed fashion jewelry.

Joan was predeceased by one brother, John Dziok.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Carol, who took on the very difficult task of being Joan’s advocate for the past four years, and to Gloria and Marilyn and Rev. Fr. Stephen Enea who also provided loving, tender and thoughtful care to Joan. Thank you also to Joan’s medical team, doctors and nurses. We will never forget your kindness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joan’s Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. Private interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
