Fannie M. Parrotta, age 94, passed away on Monday October 30, 2023, at the Sitrin Healthcare Center with the love and support of her family in her heart.
She was born in Utica on January 4, 1929, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose Esposito Parrotta, and was a 1946 graduate of TR Proctor High School.
Fannie began her employment with the Bendix Corp., the General Electric Co. and subsequently became the Bookkeeper for the Pennysaver Newspaper for many years until her retirement.
Although Fannie had no children, she had many beloved nieces and nephews whom she thought of as her own children. They showered Fannie with love and affection, and she certainly reciprocated. Her memory will forever remain in their hearts.
Surviving are her beloved nieces and nephews, Joseph LaMonica, Nick (Mary) Parrotta, Jeanette Tripple, Edward (Lisa) Majka, Barbara (Frank) LaManna, Richard Majka and Anthony Ruffini, and many loving great nieces and great nephews,
She was predeceased by her brothers and sister-in-law Frank and Lena Parrotta, Rock Parrotta and Salvatore Parrotta; sisters and brothers-in-law Antoinette and Roland Youngkrans, Katherine and Joseph Ruffini, Rosalie LaMonica and Carmella and Henry Majka, also her nephew and niece Louis and Rosalie Parrotta, nieces Francine Majka and Patricia LaMonica. She was also predeceased by her dear friend Dorothy Carbone.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Monday November 6, at 12:00 noon in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church, Utica. Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brody Savicki Foundation to benefit the local youth of Down Syndrome @ brodysbuddyride.org.
