Adolfo Cardona, Jr.

Mr. Adolfo Cardona, Jr., age 80, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2026, at the Wynn Hospital, Utica, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico on March 18, 1946, a son of the late Adolfo Cardona, Sr. and Daria Ocasio Renta. On September 4, 1966, he married the love of his life Gloria Esther Sanchez Camacho in Philadelphia, PA a loving and blessed union of 60 years.

Adolfo was employed with the Joseph & Feiss Co for many years and after leaving there, he continued to work to provide for his family until he retired.

A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Adolfo’s main priority in life was his family. His life revolved around their well -being. They will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Cardona; his daughters, Diana Cardona and Mildred Cardona, and her husband, Reynaldo; and his son, Amed Cardona, and his wife, Melissa; his cherished grandchildren Gloriana Roman and husband Sebastian, Yareliz Estella Velez and husband Rolando, Yamaris Esther Velez, Julian Sanchez, and Antonio, Carlo and Marco Cardona; beloved great grandchildren Leilani, Leia and Laura Roman and Joshua and Aliah Cancel.

Adolfo will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the church family he loved so much, where he served fervently for over 40 years.

Visitation will be this Sunday September 13th from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm at the Faro de Luz, Seventh Day Adventist Church 1605 Genesee St. Utica. Church services will commence at the conclusion of visitation at 3:30 pm in church.

Private interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
