Aida Tahirovic, age 55, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on June 4, 2026 at the Wynn Hospital.
She was born on June 27, 1970 in Bosnia, a daughter of Rasim Tahirovic and the late Sanija (Bilal) Tahirovic. Aida obtained her master's degree and was a structural engineer at JMT in Syracuse.
She is survived by her loving father, Rasim; her sister Esma (Sead) Sutkovic and several other family members in American and overseas.
Graveside services will be Monday, June 8, 2026 at the Bosnian Islamic Cemetery at 5 PM.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Scala, Roefaro & Karboski Funeral Home, 1122 Culver Ave., Utica.
