Mr. Alphonse F. Leone age 78, of Utica, passed away on Saturday July 23, 2016 at the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was born in Utica on December 24, 1937 a son of the late Frank and Anna Encarnacao Leone and was educated locally. He served our country in the US Navy. Alphonse lived most of his adult life in Florida before recently returning home to Utica to be with his family.

Surviving are two sisters Irene (Rita) Damiano and Ann Lottermoser; one daughter Pamela Sillings; two sons Richard and Frank Leone; grandchildren, nieces, nephews and Betty Jane Rossi whom he considered his adopted sister. He was predeceased by his sister Vita Dunn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services on Monday morning at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Ctr. 2535 Genesee St. Utica, (formerly St. Joseph Nursing Home), with the Rev. Joseph Salerno officiating. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the services.
