Anthony O. "Tony" DeTraglia

Mr. Anthony O. (Tony) DeTraglia, age 93 of Utica, passed away on Monday May 25, 2015 at St. Luke's HospitalCenter.

He was born in Utica on January 23, 1922, a son of the late John and Angelina Bernardi DeTraglia, and was educated in local schools. At one time he was married to the former Rose Prestigiacomo.

He proudly served our country during WWII in the US Navy.

Tony was co-owner and operator with his brothers of DeTraglia Foodland Market on Bleecker St. for many years until his retirement in 1986. He was a parishioner and usher at St. Anthony of PaduaChurch.

Surviving are his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Angelina and Mark Cornacchia, of Utica; his beloved son and daughter-in-law John and Karen DeTraglia, of Clinton; his cherished grandchildren, Nicole Cornacchia-Morgan and husband Benjamin Morgan; Marco Cornacchia, John DeTraglia Jr. and Daniel DeTraglia; two step-children Diane Pimpinella and Daniel Garzillo and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by one sister, Lena DeTraglia McCarthy and four brothers Gustave, Samuel, Frank and Dominic DeTraglia

There will be no public visitation.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church, with Military Honors conferred. Private interment will be in CalvaryCemetery. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of mass in church.
