Anthony J. Giruzzi

Mr. Anthony J. Giruzzi, age 81, of Utica, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in the comfort of his home, with his beloved family by his side.

He was born on July 14, 1931 in Utica, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Ferrara Giruzzi. Educated locally he was a graduate of T.R.ProctorHigh School.

On July 4, 1953 he was united in marriage to Anna Betty Gaetano, a blessed union of 60 years.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary of Mt.CarmelChurch.

Anthony was the owner and operator of Giruzzi Plumbing and Heating Inc., providing dedicated service to many local customers for many years.

He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather who dedicated his entire life to work and family, and will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Anna Betty; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph A. and Annette M. Giruzzi of Barneveld, Anthony J. Jr. and Cynthia C. Giruzzi of Barneveld, and James R. and Anna M. Giruzzi of Utica; his loving grandchildren, Joseph Jr. and Christopher Giruzzi, Anthony Giruzzi III and Jim Young, Jennifer and Eric Coriale, and Vincenzo and Ricardo Giruzzi; four cherished great-grandchildren, Dolan, Gavin, Cassidy and Tyler; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Louise and Senatro Nudo of Utica, and Philomena and Michael Ferris of Utica; his in-laws, Rose and Al Circelli, and Anthony and Diane Gaetano; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. on Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. Private entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church.

There will be no public visiting hours.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Hospice Care, Inc., especially to Ann Lindsay. Donations may be made in Anthony's memory to Hospice Care, Inc., envelopes will be provided.
