Anthony Tony Zumpano

Mr. Anthony “Tony” Zumpano, age 78, of Utica passed away on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at the Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with the love and support of his family, by his side.
He was born in Utica on June 13, 1940 a son of the late Mary Zumpano Morreale. Tony also knew the love of his grandparents Eusebia and Salvatore Zumpano. He served our country in the US Marine Corps from 1958 – 1962. He was at one time married to the former Anne Trino.
Tony was a self-employed businessman who operated several businesses throughout his life in Utica and Florida.
Upon moving back to Utica, he enjoyed many hobbies, namely his love for the game of golf, and poker.
A charismatic and kind individual, he will be sadly missed by his beloved family and many friends. Tony’s happiest times were holidays surrounded by his children and grandchildren
Surviving are his children: Anne (Sullivan) Jenkins and husband Irv,  Anthony (UFD) and Lisa Zumpano, Michael and Samantha Zumpano, Dean and Jennifer Zumpano, and Laureen and husband Craig Howard; two sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia and Joseph DeFina of Rome and Judy and Dan Ponder of CA; his brother and sister-in-law Angelo and Cathy Morreale of Rome; beloved grandchildren, Alexandra and Jessica Sullivan, Gabrielle, Anthony II, Lillianna, Andrea, Brittany (Padula), Michael, Alyssa, Francesca, Santina, Bianca Zumpano, Noah, Joseph and Victoria Howard, beloved great-grandchildren; Patrick, Faith, Giavanna, Anthony, Adrianna; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, with a special thanks to Gerry and Benny.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Private interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery, N. Utica. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5 - 8 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Please Omit Flowers.
