Antoinette "Toni" (Coletti) LaComb

September 29, 1929 — April 27, 2022

Utica

Antoinette M. “Toni” (Coletti) LaComb, age 92, of Utica, passed away on Wednesday April 27, 2022, with her beloved family by her side.

She was born on September 29, 1929, in Utica, a daughter of the late Louis and Massimina Poccia Coletti, and was educated in local schools. Toni met Raymond (Ray) LaComb while working at GE, and on April 18, 1953, they were joined in marriage at St. Anthony’s Church, a blessed union of 61 years, until Ray’s passing on October 27, 2014.

Toni began her work career with the General Electric Co. for several years, leaving to raise her family. She returned to work as a clerk for the Oneida County Board of Elections and retired after 16 years of public service. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church, and a member of the Daughters of Columbus.

Toni loved the “Utica Girls” coffee klatches that were filled with mostly laughter and some tears. During retirement, Toni volunteered at Faxton Hospital and served on the Proctor High School class reunion committees. She had great memories of summers with the family at the Jersey Shore, lunches with her friends, and trips with close friends Ceil and Stan Hamel, and Woody and Mimi Woods.

She traveled to California, Florida, Montreal, and Las Vegas during her retirement years. She loved to listen to Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, and Chubby Checker and had opportunities to see them in person with her daughter and granddaughter. Toni loved to dance with Ray on every occasion they could.

Surviving are her daughter, Maryann Moore of Clinton; her son, David LaComb, and wife Mary Stokes of Halfmoon, NY; one cherished granddaughter, Kelly Moore of Clark Mills and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Ernest, Robert, Gordon, and Joseph Coletti; her sister Jean (Coletti) Coluzzi; and son-in-law Jeffrey Moore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 6 at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony and St. Agnes Church, Utica. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church. Private entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central New York, PO Box 12226, Syracuse, NY 13218
