Mr. Benjamin J. McClusky age 78 of Maryland, formerly of Utica, passed away on Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Washington Hospital, Washington, DC with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Syracuse, NY on March 2, 1937, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Salomon McClusky and was a graduate of Solvay High school and SUNY Oswego. On December 26, 1961 he was married to Eleanora L. Borgia in Blessed Sacrament Church, Utica, a blessed union of 53 years.

Ben was an Industrial Arts Teacher with the Utica City School District for many years. Upon retirement he enjoyed a second career at the Genuine Auto Co.

Surviving are his beloved wife Eleanora; two daughters and sons-in-law Mary Ellen and Joseph Piccolli of WA., and Annette and Brian Hartz of MD; his beloved grandchildren Jamie, Patrick and Benjamin Hartz and Teresa Piccoli; his beloved great grandchildren Henry and Alan; two brothers Martin and his wife Theresa McClusky of Marcellus and William and his wife Georgia McClusky of CA; his sister-in-law Annette Shaffer of Utica and brother-in-law Peter Borgia of NC. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. Private Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held Monday from 4-7 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave., Utica.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Special Olympics, Maryland at, stmaryssplash.com.
