Mr. Byron A. “Todd” Abraham, age 83, of Utica, passed away on Thursday November 30, 2023, in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Utica on January 20, 1940, a son of the late George and Mabel Elias Abraham and was a graduate of local schools. On September 9, 1961, he was married to Rosemary Romano in St. Louis Gonzaga Church, a blessed union of 63 years until her passing on October 4, 2020. Byron “Todd” proudly served our country from 1961-1965 as a Sergeant in the US Army. Todd was employed with Niagara Mohawk Power Corp for many years retiring as a Gas Foreman.

In his spare time Todd loved to golf and was an avid fisherman and sportsman.

However, his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was always present at their games and events. He had a special bond with his first-born Megan, with whom he shared many conversations.

Surviving are his beloved children, his son and daughter-in-law Byron and Heidi Abraham; two daughters Karla Conley and Tricia Abraham, and son David Abraham Parker and wife Kate; his cherished grandchildren Megan and husband Jay Mills, Nicholas, Abby and Todd Abraham, Laura Rose Ratcliffe, Alexandra (Allie) Conley, Brianna (Breezy) and husband Andrew Mendez and Ciara Abraham-Davis; cherished great-grandchildren Oliver, Arcadia, Evelyn and Richard “RJ”; one sister Beverly Abraham and one brother William (Billy) Abraham; his in-laws Laura Jean and Russell Leone; and several loving nieces and nephews, especially acknowledging his nephew Mark Romano who spent countless hours with his uncle Todd. He also leaves his “Cronies at the joint”, Louie D, Louie R. Judge G. and George with whom he shared his daily routine and coffee. He also leaves his lifelong friends from Niagara Mohawk Casimer Pilawa and Mike Ambrose.

He was predeceased by two brothers George and Gary Abraham, his son-in-law William (Bill) Conley, his in-laws, Frank, Albert, Pete (Herda), Vito (Rosalie) John “Lanny” (Rosemarie) and Louis “Jr.” Romano and three sisters Beatrice (Andy) Gambino, Mary (Angelo) Conte and Millie (Fritz) Passante.

His family will Honor and Celebrate his Life at a private time with the Rev. Fr. Boutros Al Hachem officiating, with burial will in Calvary Cemetery. The family extends a special Thank You to the staff of Hospice Care Inc. especially Crystal and Carrie for their care and compassion given to Todd. Donations may be made to Hospice Care Inc. in his memory.
