Christine T. Pavia

UTICA-Christine T. Pavia, age 75, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Monday April 14, 2025, at her home with the love of her family in her heart.

She was born in Utica on March 2, 1950, a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Pry Pavia and was a graduate of local schools. On September 14, 1996, Christine was married to Darwin “Doug” Rocker in Utica, a blessed union of 26 years, until his passing on April 4, 2023.

Christine was employed for over 30 years with the Bell Atlantic/NY Telephone Co. until her retirement several years ago. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother her family will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Surviving are her beloved children; sons, Brett (Brittany) Barnard and Wayne Barnard, and Billy (Leigh Ballard) Rocker; daughters, Lynda (Ralph) Carman and Jennifer (Rocker) Hardy; two brothers Jerry Pavia and Charles Pavia and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and dear friends, Robert “Bob” and Cheryl Santomassino. She was predeceased by her sister Geraldine Pavia and stepson Ryan Rocker.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family with burial in St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyrs Cemetery, Whitesboro.
