Clayton Thomas Baker

Clayton Thomas Baker, age 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at the Abraham House in Rome.

He was born in Herkimer, on August 26, 1960, a son of the late James Henry and Bessie A. (Hammond) Baker. Clayton graduated from Poland Central Schools and would go on to work for Jefferson-Smurfit until his retirement. Upon retiring, he went back to work for his daughter’s company, A&P Master Images, LLC and was well loved in the business.

Clayton is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Amanda (Howard) Potter; his treasured grandchildren, Angelena and Ayden Potter; his five siblings and their spouses; and many dear cousins, nieces, and a nephew. A heartfelt thank you goes to his former wife, Patricia Nitti, and her husband, Ralph Nitti, for their compassionate care and support during his final months.

He was predeceased by his sister, Shelia Baker.
