Dale H. Franz

Embraced by the love of his family and the light of all that is Divine, Dale transitioned to freedom on Wednesday February 7, 2024. Born February 15, 1959, he was 64 years old. 

Dale was one of the most intelligent, kind and considerate people.  Growing up in Clinton, NY, he graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy in 1982. Dale was a brilliant pharmacist with an exemplary work ethic. He was admired and well respected by all colleagues. He began his employment at Crouse Hospital in July 1982 and remained an integral part of pharmacy until his death. For the last several years, he was the Director of Pharmacy Services. 

Dale was also an outstanding carpenter and woodworker who remodeled his home and built fences, decks, gazebos, kitchen tables and other wonderful things for his family. He will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.

Dale was predeceased by his parents, Willard and Sally (Greene) Franz, as well as his sister Sandy Franz. 

He leaves his two precious daughters Casey A. Prietti (Scott) and Angela M. Warne (Michael), as well as his best friend and mother of his children, Maryann Roefaro. He also leaves his beloved grandson Anthony Renato Prietti and was awaiting the arrival of his second grandson Oliver Michael Warne. He also leaves three brothers Eric Franz, Karl Franz (Donna) and Mark Franz (Amy). He also leaves many wonderful nieces and nephews.

 Calling hours are Saturday February 10, 2024, from 1-3 pm at The Farone & Son Funeral Home Inc. 4899 W. Taft Rd. Liverpool, NY 13088. A Celebration of Life will follow at the conclusion of visitation at 3:00 pm in the funeral home. Private entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Utica at the convenience of the family.
