David J. Vomer

David J. Vomer, age 65, of Marcy, NY., passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2026, in the comfort of his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on February 4, 1961, in Utica, a son of the late John R. and Josephine (Puliti) Vomer. David was a graduate from T. R. Proctor High School. Dave began his work career with the, Paul deLima Coffee Co. where he worked for over 20 years. He then established Vomero Coffee which he owned and operated for the past 20 years.

David is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Christopher (Christina) Vomer and Marissa (Stacey) Vomer; his cherished grandchildren, Santino, Dominic and Antonio Vomer; his beloved sister, Denise “TT” Houseman; his soulmate and love who was always by his side Leian “Lei Lei”; his cousins, Jodianne and Nick LaBella, Jr. and their sons Nicholas (his Godson) and Daniel LaBella and fiancé Kristen Sellars; his goddaughter, Tricia Hughes and (Giovanni) and her children, Ryleigh, Taydem (his goddaughter) and Christopher (his godson); his “brothers from another mother”, Donnie (Lisa) Hughes, Frank (Anne) Pinnisi and Rich “Yogi” and Tom Wood; also Frank III and Trisha Pinnisi, Donato Pinnisi and Nicholas and Brittany Pinnisi. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Dr. David J. Vomer, Pharm. D, in 2015.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday June 17th at 10:00 am in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of Mass in church.

The Vomer family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice & Palliative Care Inc for the care and compassion given to Dave and his family .
