Dorothy Marrotta-DeCarr Loucks

Dorothy (Marrotta) DeCarr Loucks, age 82, of New Hartford, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday June 3, 2026, as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born in Utica on April 11, 1944, a daughter of the late Frank and Kathryn Sisti Marrotta and was educated in local schools. She was married to William DeCarr in 1970 until his passing in 2004. She was then married to Francis “Frank” Loucks for several years until his passing in 2019.

Surviving is her son Dillon DeCarr; grandchildren Richard Cunningham, Bobby Louis, Philip Gentile, Michael Tudor, Kimberly Tudor and William Tudor; several great grandchildren, her sister Elaine Johnson (the late Don Johnson), and brother and sister-in-law, Frank T. and Roberta Marrotta; sister-in-law Karen Marrotta, and several nieces, nephews and friends, especially Sandra Grounds and Cynthia Papa. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathryn Gelfuso; her sister Maria (Daniel) Trunfio, and brother Thomas Marrotta.

In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
