Ellen C. Miga

Ellen C. Miga, age 81, passed away on Tuesday June 9, 2026, at the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center with the love of her family in her heart.

She was born on July 20, 1944, in Newark, N.Y., a daughter of the late Lewis and Helen Yule Sherman and was educated in local schools.

Ellen lived in the Barneveld area for many years and was employed for 26 years as the purchasing agent for the Jet-Sew Co., of Barneveld, before her retirement.

Surviving are two daughters Christine Benedict of Barneveld and Jennifer and husband Leon Lynch of Cold Brook, NY; four grandchildren Samantha Lynch, Courtney, Andrew and Mickey Benedict; two great grandchildren Ezra and Jasper Carey and Cousin Elaine Torre.

The family would like to thank the staff of Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Home for all the wonderful care, compassion and friendship for our mother.

A celebration of life will take place at Redeeming Love Fellowship 9011 NY-365 Stittville, NY 13469 on Friday June 19,2026 from 2-4pm.
