Francis Pettinato

Mr. Francis Pettinato age 66, of Marcy, passed away on Friday October 9, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with his beloved family by his side.

He was born in Utica, on November 1, 1948 a son of the late Peter and Carmella Greco Pettinato and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School and attended MVCC. On July 19, 1969 he was married to Regina "Reggie" Smith in St. Anthony of Padua Church, a blessed union of 46 years.

Francis spent his entire career in sales with the Mohawk Hospital Equipment Inc., simultaneously he worked many of those years at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in the Materials Management Dept. until his retirement in 2014.

Surviving are his beloved wife Reggie; one son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Lisa Pettinato of TX.; his cherished granddaughter Sarah Francesca Pettinato; his sisters- in-law Patty and her husband Tom Manna of Deerfield, Linda Smith of Nanuet, NY and Carol Peek of Whitesboro; two special nephews Tommy Manna and Michael Pettinato . His dear aunt and and godmother Sara Topi and aunt Margie Pettinato. Fran loved to spend time with all of his cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved grandson Matthew Marcelino Pettinato on August 26, 2015 and his brother Robert Pettinato in 2014.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 3-6 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Funeral services will commence at the conclusion of visitation at 6:00 pm in the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Kaminski officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Family Catholic School "In celebration of his grandson Matthew Pettinato" at holyfamilycs.org
