Frank J. Conte

Mr. Frank J. Conte age 80, passed away on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital Center after a long illness with his beloved family by his side.

He was born on July 12, 1934 in Utica a son of the late Peter and Jennie Talerico Conte and was educated in local schools. Frank proudly served our country in the US Army from 1958-1960, where he also attained his high school diploma.

On August 2, 1958 he was united in marriage to Barbara Zongrone in Mt.CarmelChurch, a blessed union of 57 years.

Frank was employed as a supervisor with the Bendix/Lucas Aerospace Co. for over 33 years, until his retirement.

Surviving are his beloved wife Barbara, two beloved sons and a daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Emaline Conte of Newport, NY and Christopher Conte of Los Angeles, CA; one cherished granddaughter Jordyn Conte; his in-laws David and Maria Zongrone, Johanna Zongrone and Jeannie and Victor Circhirello and several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Barbara and George LaFleur; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Fannie and John Zongrone and a sister-in-law Rosemary Rzepka.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 am in Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church, where Military Honors will be conferred. Interment will be in CalvaryCemetery.

Guests may greet the family prior to the funeral service from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 am in church.
