Frank V. Guarnieri, age 62, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 23,2026, at Wynn Hospital, with the love of his family in his heart.

He was born in Utica on February 20, 1964, son of the late Frank and Marie (Zito) Guarnieri and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School. Frank furthered his education and graduated from SUNY Brockport with a BA degree in Political Science.

Frank was an avid NY Yankees fan and a true sports enthusiast. He especially enjoyed attending baseball games at Yankee Stadium, where he could share his love of the game and experience the excitement of watching his favorite team. He was also a passionate political pundit who enjoyed discussing politics and current events. A kind and gentle personality, Frank, had a smile that would light up a room. He was the consummate gentleman and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Frank was employed as the Business Manager at WFXV/WPNY/WUTR in Utica until his retirement.

Frank shared a particularly close and loving bond with his mother, Marie, and remained very close with his sister, Christine. He cherished his family and the special relationships he had with those closest to him. Frank was known as “Uncle Frankie” to his niece and nephew. Kara and Joey will always remember him for his quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and ability to make those around him laugh. He was always ready with a joke or a clever remark, often bringing laughter and lightness to even the simplest moments.

Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Joseph Tresoline of Utica; his beloved niece, Kara Tresoline, and nephew, Joey Tresoline; several dear cousins, especially, Ed and Sue Duniec, with whom Frank shared a special bond. He also leaves many friends, especially Michael Roefaro, with whom Frank shared a steadfast friendship.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Frank’s longtime friends, Mark Ambrosi and David Caruso, for visiting Frank during his time in the hospital.

In keeping with Frank’s wishes, his funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
