Mr. George J. Hobaica age 79, of Utica passed away on Friday May 6, 2016 at the Heritage Home.

He was born in Utica, NY on December 27, 1936 a son of the late Melid and Jennie Harp Hobaica and was educated in local schools. On November 29, 1958 he was married to Helen L. George, a blessed union of 21 years until her passing on June 23, 1979. George was a dedicated employee with the Trenton Technologies Co. for over 35 years. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Gonzaga Church.

Surviving are two beloved daughters and his son-in-law Denise and Gregory Stewart and Georgette Rabideau and partner Kevin Parkhurst all of Utica; two cherished grandchildren Vanessa Rabideau and Alexa Rabideau and fiancAC.e Alen Imsirovic; his companion of many years Etta Dontino and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Rose Nickley, Selma Pyle, Mary A. Hobaica and Susan Carpenter.

There will be no public visitiation.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Divine Liturgy of the Faithful Departed on Monday morning at 9:30 am in St. Louis Gonzaga Church, Utica with the Very Rev. Chorbishop John Faris officiating. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. in memory of George.
