James A. George

James A. George age 93, of Utica, passed away on Wednesday August 26, 2026, at the Masonic Care Community with his loving sister Rosalie by his side.

He was born in Long Island City, NY on March 31, 1933,a son of the late Tony and Rose Daudelin George and was educated in local schools. Jim served our country from 1951-1953 in the US Army in Korea.

Jim was a dedicated employee of the US Postal Service in Pittsburgh, PA for many years before his retirement in 1995.

Surviving is his sister Rosalie Edgett of Utica; his brother Caleb (Ann) George of Whitesboro, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Janice George and Evelyn Locash and his brother Philip and wife Patricia George.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, private funeral services with interment will take place in the family lot in Calvary Cemetery.
