Jessie C. Lesser

Jessie C. Lesser age 101, passed away on Thursday January 15, 2026, at the Masonic Care Community where she was a resident.

She was born in Gloversville, NY on July 19, 1924, a daughter of the late Leroy and Pauline Phillips Clifford and was a graduate of Gloversville schools. She was a graduate of the Nathan Littauer Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse (RN). On May 24, 1947, she was married to Richard Lesser of Johnstown, NY, a loving and devoted union of 60 years, until his passing in 2007.

Jessie was employed for many years in the medical field until her retirement.

Surviving are her son James R. Lesser, two daughters Rosemary Lesser and Sue Ann Lesser, DVM; two grandchildren Kate and Mary and her great grandchildren Irea, Nina and Emil.

In keeping with Jessies wishes and in alignment with her giving nature, Jessie’s remains have been given to Albany Medical Center to aid health care providers abilities to diagnose, treat and cure their future patients.

The family is grateful to the staff at Acacia Village for their kindness shown to Jessie.
