John P. Wojcik, Jr.

Mr. John P. Wojcik, Jr. age 71, of NY Mills, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday September 9, 2018 at the Utica Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

He was born in Utica on September 17, 1946 a son of the late John and Catherine Syma Wojcik and was a graduate of St. Mary's Elementary and NY Mills High Schools. A longtime resident of NY Mills, John was very proud of his Polish Heritage. He was an avid golfer enjoying many tee times with his friend Jeff Hunter, until Jeff's passing in 2017.

John will be greatly missed by his dear friends Gary Porcelli, Dave Ferris, Mike Mikus, Lory Maikranz, Marty and Jared Pezdek. He will also be missed by his "adopted" granddaughter Lillibet.

Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, NY Mills. Private interment will be in the family plot with his parents in St. Stanislaus & Casimir Cemetery.
