Judi L. (Derdzinski) Boris

Judi Lynn Boris, 60, of Utica, passed away into the loving arms of the Lord, after a brief illness on
Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare.
She was born on September 25, 1962, the daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Kostyn)
Derdzinski. On October 1, 1983, Judi married Anthony R. Boris in Holy Trinity Church, a blessed
union of 39 years. Judi was a caregiver for Upstate Cerebral Palsy.
She was a loving wife, mother and an amazing “Granny” to her six cherished grandchildren.
Judi is survived by her loving husband, Tony; daughters, Jennifer Roberts and Monica Campbell,
both of Deerfield; grandchildren, Olivia, Lauren, Austin, Lilly, Vinny and Jaxson; brothers, Dan
(Sue) Derdzinski and Paul Derdzinski as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews
and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4-6 pm at the Scala & Roefaro
Funeral Home, 1122 Culver Ave. Utica. Funeral services will be on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Mary,
Mother of Our Savior Parish (Lourdes Campus), 2222 Genesee St. Utica, where her Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Judi’s family would like to thank Dr. Butala and the nurses and staff who helped Judi along her
path for all the care and compassion shown.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Judi’s name may be made to Anita’s Stevens Swan Humane
Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
