Julia "Judy" Pelle

Julia “Judy” (Greco) Pelle, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 9, 2025, in Sterling, VA. after celebrating her 105th birthday on Nov. 7th.

She was born in Utica, NY, on November 7, 1920, of Italian immigrants Cosmo and Julia Palmisano Greco. She graduated from TR Proctor High School in 1940 and married Anthony Pelle on June 26, 1946. Tony passed away on October 26, 2015.

Judy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the knights of St. John #385. She loved getting together with family and friends, spending summers at their camp on Little Long Lake, and playing various card games and dominoes. She was a great cook and cake maker. Her family will hold her memory in their hearts.

She is survived by her two daughters, Beth Pelle of MD and Judy (Robert) Colicci of VA., two grandchildren, Andrea (Daniel) Kane and Bobby (Becky) Colicci; four great grandchildren, Tommy and John Kane, and Cora and Ellie Colicci, and nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by two sisters Florence Scarfo and Frances Benzo and two brothers Dominic and Raymond Greco.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services on Monday November 24th at 12:00 noon at the Scala, Roefaro & Karboski Funeral Home 1122 Culver Ave. Utica. Please arrive at approximately 11:30 am. Private entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care 4277 Middle Settlement Rd. New Hartford, NY 13413, in memory of Judy.
