Mr. Kate (Squillace) Moskal, age 77, of Whitesboro passed away unexpectedly on Saturday March 12, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
She was born on November 9, 1938 in Utica a daughter of the late Ralph and Felicia Fiore Squillace and was educated in local schools, having graduated from T.R. Proctor High School. On November 15, 1976 she was united in marriage with Donald J. Moskal a blessed union of 39 years.
Kate was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the consummate homemaker whose life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren, whom Kate adored and were the world to her. A loving and genuine woman, she will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Surviving are her beloved husband Donald; her loving daughter Linda Thurston and Tony Siuta of Whitesboro; two beloved sons Nicholas Montano Jr. and wife Cheryl of CA. and Donald Moskal Jr. and Tammy of Clinton; her cherished grandchildren Brittney, Nicholas, Delos, Deaven and Anna; one brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Joyce Squillace of Marcy; one sister Sandy Shea of SC; her in-laws Rev. Joseph Moskal and Dick Bitely and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Deborah A. Montano and one sister Ann Bitely.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 5:00 pm at St. Joseph-St. Patrick Church 702 Columbia St. Utica. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church. Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
