Kimberly (Burton) Conte, age 61, passed peacefully with family by her side, on Friday June 18, 2021 at the Katherine Luther Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She fought a valiant 10 year battle against Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
She was born in Utica on February 27, 1960, daughter of Elizabeth DiNardi Burton and the late Harold Burton. She was a graduate of JFK High School and also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Utica College of Syracuse University.
Kim was employed as a probation officer for many years with the Oneida County Probation Department. Subsequently, she became a counselor with the Mid-State Correctional Facility until her retirement due to illness.
Surviving is her beloved mother, Elizabeth Burton; three beloved daughters: Krystle Conte of Syracuse, Nicole Conte of Utica, and Angelica Conte of Utica; her cherished grandchildren Alexandria Usyk, Victoria Usyk, and Maximus Pierce; two brothers Stephen and Judy Burton of Remsen, and Jeff Burton of New Hartford; a sister-in-law Pam Burton, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the caregivers at Lutheran Care for their kindness and compassion.
In keeping with Kim’s wishes, funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association (ALZ.org) in memory of Kimberly.
