Laura (Gauthier) Paciello

February 8, 1933 — March 11, 2016

Mrs. Laura (Gauthier) Paciello, age 83, of Utica, passed away on peacefully at home on Friday March 11, 2016 with her beloved family by her side.

She was born on February 8, 1933 in Utica, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen Wegrzyn Gauthier. Educated locally she was a graduate of Utica Free Academy.

On May 17, 1958 she was joined in marriage to Raymond Paciello in St. Peter's Church, a blessed union of 57 years. Laura was employed by Central New York Abstract Co. for many years. She then became the office manager working alongside her husband Ray, for nearly 30 years in the family business "Ray's Auto Electric" until their retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's Church.

Surviving are her beloved husband, Ray; one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Francine Paciello of Utica; one daughter and son-in-law Beth Ann and Timothy McCarthy of Central Square, NY; four cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Paciello, Lauren Paciello, Ryan McCarthy and Erin McCarthy; one beloved great-granddaughter Celie; her siblings, Marie Bonfardeci, Arlene (Vincent) Maneen, Doris Austin, Beatrice (Thomas) Rabbia, and Louis (Mary) Gauthier; her in-laws Donna Gauthier, Donald and Dennis Paciello; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother Sylvester.

There will be no public visitation.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Peter's Church, N. Utica. The family will greet visitors at the conclusion of mass in church. Private interment will be in the spring in St. Peter's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura's name may be made to the charity of your choice.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Laura's caregivers, Lori and Jean for their care and compassion.
