Lisa M. (Taurisano) Perry age 56, passed away unexpectedly due to complications from surgery, on Saturday December 30, 2023, at the Wynn Hospital.

She was born in Utica, on December 19, 1967, a daughter of the late Richard and Lucille Fimmano Taurisano. She was a graduate of JFK High School and MVCC. Lisa held a degree in nursing and was an RN, CEN. On June 14, 1997, she was married to Marc Perry in Historic Old St. John’s Church, Downtown Utica, a loving and blessed union of 26 years.

Lisa dedicated her life to nursing. She was a registered nurse having worked in the MVHS family for most of her life, most recently the new Wynn Hospital. She also worked in several other hospitals throughout the upstate region. Lisa was also an active cheerleading coach for over 25 years with the North Utica Raiders and North Star Allstars. Her devotion to her family, vocation and community was paramount in everything she did. Her presence will surely be missed. Her family will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

Surviving is her beloved husband Marc; her loving children, Ashley and husband Kevin Barton of NY Mills, Daniel Saponaro of Atlantic City, Marc Perry and Kaitlyn Corr of Sauquoit and Caitlin Perry and Cole Brewer of Sauquoit; her sister Cheryl Pereira and fiancé David Scherer; her brother and sister-in-law Loren and Mary Taurisano of Schuyler; three beloved grandchildren Anthony Snyder, Alivia and Alexander Barton; she recently reconnected with family, William and Cindy Chapple, and her sister with whom she had a special connection, Jaime Kierpiec and husband Aleck; she also leaves her mother-in-law Evelyn Perry and father-in-law Arthur Perry; three sisters-in-law Krista and husband Rex Olson, Stephanie Perry and Joseph Dinitto and Stacie Perry; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Arthur Pereira.

Given her devotion to others during her life, Lisa will continue to do so in her death as an organ donor. Her family will honor her life at a later date with a Celebration of Life Gathering, where all will be welcome. Details will be made at that time.

The family would like to thank the valiant efforts of Marc and Lisa’s work families at Clayville Fire Department, Edwards Ambulance and MVHS Wynn Hospital (ER,CAT Scan, ICU and the Neurology Departments) who tried so tirelessly to keep Lisa with us.
