MaryAnn (Dakin) Cicigline

February 9, 1944 — November 30, 2017

Mrs. MaryAnn (Dakin) Cicigline, age 73, of Frankfort, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 30, 2017 at home.

She was born in San Jose, CA on February 9, 1944, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Beulah Byington Dakin. She came to Central New York as a young girl and was educated locally, graduating from Frankfort-Schuyler High School. On May 5, 1962 she was married to Lawrence (Larry) Cicigline in Mt. Carmel Church, a blessed union of 55 years. MaryAnn was a waitress for many years, a vocation she truly enjoyed. She worked for several area restaurants, including the Turning Stone Casino.

MaryAnn was an exceptionally talented artist who took pride in crafting gifts for her family and friends. Whatever she made was a work of art, whether it was painting, crocheting or cross stitch. She was very witty and she loved to laugh, crack jokes and play pranks. She was also an excellent cook. She will be sadly missed by her beloved family, especially her grandchildren who held a special place in their hearts for MaryAnn.

Surviving are her beloved husband Larry; her beloved daughter Laura Cicigline; her cherished grandchildren Rachel Greppo and husband Eric, Jason Covey and wife Jessica, Julianna Behr and Joey Behr and great-granddaughter Jenna Covey; step grandchildren John Becker, Jr., Kelly Decker and Jodi Decker; three sisters, Cindy Pierce of TX, Kathy Hunter and husband George of NJ, and Patricia Maven of NJ; her brother Gary Horst and wife Judy of AZ; brother-in-law Earl Polhamus of NJ; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her two beloved sons Lawrence and Raymond Cicigline, one brother Mike Dakin and one sister Nikki Polhamus.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Her funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 am in the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Salerno officiating, with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
