Michael A. Major Jr.

Michael A. Major Jr., age 38, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, in the comfort and dignity of his parent’s home after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer.

He was born in Utica on May 20, 1987, a son of Michael and Rosanna (Lawler) Major and would go on to attend local schools. Always an entrepreneur at heart, Michael was part of several endeavors locally, co-owning M & M Hydroponics Company with his brother-in-law Matt and most notably for his real estate company the Buy, Sell & Rent Real Estate Brokerage Co.

A loving and devoted son, father and brother Michael’s memory will forever live in the hearts of his dear family.

He is survived by his parents, Rosanna and Michael; his daughter, Mariah, his son, Mason his sisters, Latasha “Tasha” (Matthew) Roman, Maria Major and Alyssa Myers; his grandmother, Mary Major and he will always be remembered fondly by Mary Rabideau. Michael was predeceased by his brother, Ambrose Smith and his grandparents, Arthur (Linda) Lawler.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday from 5 to 7 pm at the Scala, Roefaro & Karboski Funeral Home 1122 Culver Ave., Utica, NY.

In true giving fashion, Michael will donate his body to science in hopes that this selfless act will help others.
