Mr. Patrick N. O’Callaghan, age 64, of Whitesboro, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his home.


He was Born in Tralee County Kerry, Ireland, the son of Mary Rohan O’Callaghan and the late Richard O’Callaghan of Albany, New York. Pat retired from Nationalgrid in 2010, after over 30 years of service. Pat will be remembered for his gregarious personality, wonderful laugh and great love of jazz, the Beatles, Santana and music overall. He could command a room with his larger than life presence and was loved by many.


Pat was the loving husband of Sally Smith O’Callaghan; beloved son of Mary O’Callaghan; beloved brother to Johanna M. Corrigan (Tim Leo); he was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many family members, including his mother- in-law and father-in-law, Marion and Ben Smith, his brother-in-law Ben Smith (Janet St Aubin), his sister-in-law Laurie Smith Wasserstein; brother-in-law David Knight and many nieces and nephews, and close friends Paul and Deborah Shea and Adam Partyka, who loved him dearly. Special thanks to Danielle Swiderski, his nurse practitioner. He was predeceased by his father Richard and his sister-in-law Terrianne Smith Knight.


His Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 22, at 11:30 a.m. at St Paul’s Church in Whitesboro, NY. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of mass in church.
