Paulo Edi, born on01/01/1985 in Bor South Sudan, to Al daw Widalaa and Rasheel Anyieth Akuei Kur. Following intensified violence in South Sudan, his family moved to Khartoum for safety. There, he attended nursery and basic education at Anglican Church. Paulo moved to Comboni College for secondary education. He was thereafter displaced to Egypt like most compatriots. Family background: Paternal side: Al Daw Widallaa EDI was born and raised in Wad Medani, Al Gezira State Sudan. His parents owned a successful business enterprise. Al daw moved to Bor to expand and establish own business there. He met and happily married Rasheel Anyieth Akuei Kur. The union resulted in 4 daughters and Paulo. Alia Al daw happily married to Kuol Dawud from Aweil South Dudan and they have a daughter and three sons. Aida Al daw was married but husband died but is survived by a son. Kawther and Samah are single. Maternal Side: Rasheel parents. Father Anyieth Akuei Kur from Agook family of Pathuyith section, Baidit Payam, Bor County of Jonglei State South Sudan. He was a reknowned chieftancy lineage of intelligent, humble, empathetic loving leaders exemplified by Engineer General Kuol M Juuk, former Governor Jonglei State. Her mother Yom Kuot from a similar family status of Angakuei section Baidit Payam e amplified by Justice Abel Alier Kwai, former Vice President of Sudan. Rasheel has four sisters: Aluel married to a chieftancy lineage in Rumbek, Ayen similar status of husband from Anyidi Payam, Nyariak equal status in Biong section of Baidit and Amin married to Angakuei family. Rasheel had two brothers Akuei n Nyang who perished at the prime of ages during the struggle for South Sudan Independence. Rasheel has two step brothers Apiu and Gai and a step sister Achol. Paulo was gladly born into a tradition of responsibility, leadership, great inter communal understanding, empathy and love. He was too good to belong here and will be missed by humanity without borders. God gives and God takes; so let His name be glorified May He console the bereaving family and friends and rest his Soul in eternal peace.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call, Saturday, October 14 from 12 Noon to 1 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will commence at the end of visitation at 1 PM at church.
