Phyllis (Scire) DiGiorgio, age 78, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home.

She was born on October 27, 1947, in Utica, a daughter of the late Thomas and Philomena (Andrello) Scire. Phyllis was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High and would go on to the Utica School of Commerce and Mohawk Valley Community College. On September 9, 1967, she married Angelo DiGiorgio in Utica, a blessed union of 26 years before his passing in 1993. Phyllis was a teacher’s aide for Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES until her retirement.

She was a loving wife, mom, grandmother and friend. Phyllis loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events and was a proud supporter of the “Big Blue”. Her family will keep her love in their hearts forever.

She is survived by her loving children, Kristen DiGiorgio and Tom (Joanne) DiGiorgio; her loving grandchildren, Brian Holtslag, Brandon (Krista) Holtslag, Bradee (Lisha) Holtslag and Justin DiGiorgio and Julianne DiGiorgio; her sister, Barbara (Dan) DeGeorge as well as several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Phyllis’ wishes, her family will honor her life in private. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
