Robert (Bob) Pecoraro, 80, of Whitesboro, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Oneida Rehab Facility after a months long hospital stay and a courageous battle with Multiple Symptom Atrophy, a rare type of Parkinsons. He was born in Utica on May 13, 1944, to George and Violet Czechowicz Pecoraro. He was a 1963 graduate of UFA. Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in the Seabees from 1963 to 1967. On May 15, 1971, he was united in marriage to the love of his life and his best friend, Jean Ulinski, at Holy Trinity Church, a blessed union of 53 plus years. Bob was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend and anyone who knew him loved him.
Bob was employed as a Sales Manager with the F.X. Matt Brewing Co. and later as a Zone Manager for Tri-Valley Beverage, from which he retired. While employed at the F.X. Matt Brewing Co., Bob was instrumental in bringing "Hang Your Heart" to the Utica area. He was also involved in the WIBX Radio Heart Marathon, the Tele Auction on PBS, and the United Way.
Bob loved boating and especially enjoyed cruising the Fulton Chain of Lakes, water skiing, or just shutting the motor and drifting while listening to music with nibbles and a glass of wine. He and his wife always looked forward to their trips to Florida to visit their son and his family as well as the various places they visited while their son was in the Navy, Key West, FL being his favorite. Bob was known to be meticulous about himself and his property and no weed dared to grow on his lawn.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jean; his son, Dr. Brian Pecoraro and his wife, Suley, of Ocoee, FL; grandson, Anthony, and step-grandsons Robert and Isaac, all of Ocoee, FL; niece, Kathy & Allan Foote of Whitesboro; Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law, Walter & Jan Ulinski of Greece, NY and their children Jamie Siebold, Farmington, NY & Steve Ulinski of Oregon; and special friends Jim & Peggy Beaton of Whitesboro.
