Robert McCann Jr. , age 60, of Utica, NY, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at his home on December 3, 2025.
Robert, affectionately known as Bobby, was born in Albany, New York, February 7, 1965. He graduated from Linton High School in 1983. As a child he excelled playing Little League Baseball, and Pop Warner football, with his dad as the coach. Bobby followed in his father’s footsteps and began working in the Glacier field. However, most of his career he spent working as a Master Barber. He would often donate his services to those in need. It was his joy. Bobby also enjoyed being a D.J. He would D.J. at different events including his sister, April’s wedding and, his niece Brittany’s sweet sixteen. It was a hobby he loved and it kept him young at heart. On Sunday’s or Monday’s you may find him cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He was a true fan. Bobby enjoyed cooking and listening to old school music. He gave his heart to the Lord many years ago and one would often find him sharing scriptures or new worship music he found that encouraged him and others. Throughout his life struggles and ongoing health issues, Bobby always found joy and comfort in spending time with family, especially his mom. He adored his family and was so proud of his niece and nephews’ accomplishments as he would often post them on Facebook.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert McCann Sr. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Izard, sisters Robyn Haley, (Duncan) and April Victor (Lionel), nieces and nephews Brittany Haley, Jordan Haley, Arielle Victor, Alexis Victor and hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins, and great nephews and nieces.
He will be remembered for his gratitude for the little things, his love of family and his love of the Lord.
