Mr. Robert “Bud” Pritchard age 88, of Utica passed away on Friday May 4, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Utica on August 24, 1929 a son of the late Edwin and Ann "Alice" Reed Pritchard and was educated in local schools. On February 6, 1950 he was married to Theresa "Teddy" DelGado in St. Anthony of Padua Church, a loving and blessed union of 68 years. Bud proudly served our country in the US Navy from 1946-1950. He began his work career with the Dairylee Co. and subsequently was employed with the Faxton-Childrens Hospital for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the North Utica American Legion. Bob loved his golf and was a Member of The Hidden Valley Golf Club.
Surviving are his beloved wife Teddy; his beloved son and daughter-in-law Craig and Susan Pritchard of N. Utica; his cherished grandchildren, Amanda and Tom Thorngren and Dustin and Julie Pritchard; beloved great-grandchildren Tyler and Ava Thorngren , Aaden Pritchard, and his beloved canine daughter “Maxi”;  one sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Dave Wagner of FL.; his in-laws Maria Servello, Anita Mankowski, Jack DelGado and Charles and Mary Ellen Smith; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Reed, Jack, Walter and Edwin; three sisters, Olwyn, Pat and Leona and a sister-in-law-Bonnie Robison.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Kindly consider your favorite charity in memory of Bud.
