Rose Marie O'Shea

Mrs. Rose Marie O’Shea, age 80, of Bridgewater, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Lynn and Jim, with the love and support of her loving family by her side. 

She was born in Utica, on August 5, 1943, a daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Schuderer Gutowski and was educated in Utica schools. 

On May 16, 1987, she was married to Michael O’Shea in Whitesboro, NY a blessed union of 26 years until his passing on September 17, 2013.

Rose was employed as a cook with the New Hartford American Legion for several years until her retirement. 

She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed puzzles, fishing and the casino. However, her greatest joy came from the love of her family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and her world centered around them. Rose will forever remain in the hearts and minds of her beloved family. 

Surviving are her beloved children; son Anthony Ules of Bridgewater, daughter and son-in-law Lynn and James “Jim” Miller of Marcy, Richard Leone of Utica, and Frank Leone of Cassville; two sisters Melanie Sardina and Stephanie Zayas; one brother Peter Gutowski and wife Debbie and many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Carol Jarosz and husband Gene and brother-in-law Charles Sardina.

Her memory will be honored by her beloved family in a private ceremony.
