Ruben R. Bueno

Ruben R. Bueno, age 80, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Wynn Hospital, with the love of his family in his heart and by his side.

He was born in the Dominican Republic on October 23, 1945, a son of the late Manuel A. and Nidia Bueno. He immigrated to the USA to the Bronx, NY and lastly, making his home in Utica.

He married Ana Taveras in the Dominican Republic, a blessed union of many years.

Ruben was self-employed having owned and operated Bueno’s Grocery in the Bronx, for several years before his retirement.

Surviving is his beloved wife, Ana; his daughter and son-in-law Arisleida “Lily” Bueno and husband Dr. Eddy Garcia, Ph.D. of New Hartford; three sons Ruben D. (Liz) Bueno, Utica, Sauri Bueno, Utica and Melvis A. Bueno, RI.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren sisters and brothers and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 from 4 PM to 6 PM at The Scala, Roefaro & Karboski Funeral Home 1122 Culver Ave., Utica. Funeral service prayers will be at the conclusion of visitation at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
