Mrs. Susan (Mattia) Dembowski age 76, of Utica, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday October 27, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital with her beloved family by her side.

She was born in Utica on April 22, 1939 a daughter of the late Dominic J. and Mary Summa Mattia. She was a graduate of TR Proctor High, Morrisville College and attended Syracuse University. On July 6, 1991 she was married to Raymond Dembowski in Utica, a blessed union of 24 years.

Susan was employed for many years as a dietician with the Utica City School District, until her retirement. She was a parishioner of the Sacred Heart of Jesus/Holy Cross Church in NY Mills.

Surviving are her beloved husband Raymond, one son Dominic R. Altamura and LeeAnn of Utica; two daughters Lisa and husband Ronald Midura of Deerfield and Michele Dembowski Dillon of NY Mills; one brother and sister-in-law Dominick F. Sr. and Lauren Mattia of Deerfield; grandchildren Dominic R. Jr., Anthony R., Madison and Jordan "JJ" Altamura and Zachary Midura; her in-laws Carol and husband James Kane and Cynthia Thrasher and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
