Tricia A. Waszkiewicz

October 12, 1969 — March 11, 2026

Tricia Waszkiewicz, age 56,passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday March 11, 2026, after a long and courageous battle in the Wynn Hospital. Though she was gone far too soon, she is now finally at peace.

Tricia was a devoted wife to her husband, Sean, and a proud and loving mother to three children: Nicholas Blando, Joel Blando, and Marina Blando. She equally loved and was loved by her three stepchildren, Kellie (Jeremy) Rokjer, Nicole Waszkiewicz, and Sarah Waszkiewicz. She was a beloved daughter to her father, Lawrence LaMore, and to her late mother, Patricia Coleman LaMore, as well as a loving sister to Jeannine (Tom) Klopfanstein. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave them endless love, laughter, and support.

Tricia’s lifelong friends, Renee (Steve) Fluty, Sue (Mike) Klein, and the late Denise Doolen, were so special to her that she cared for them as part of her own family. Another person Tricia loved dearly was Elizabeth Blando, a longtime maternal figure who held a special place in her heart.

Those who knew Tricia knew her incredible wit and unmistakable sense of humor. She had a way of making people laugh even on difficult days and could light up any room with her personality. Friends, family, and coworkers will remember her for her warmth, her quick comebacks, and the genuine care she showed to the people around her.

Tricia was known to be a lifelong Journey fan, having seen them in concert 13 times, being present for their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and even meeting them on multiple occasions. Their music was part of the soundtrack of her life. It felt only right that the songs she loved so much were played to her in her final days, bringing comfort and a sense of peace with her family close by.

She was a devoted fan of all things ’80s, with a special love for hair metal. She could proudly crush just about anyone who dared challenge her to ’80s trivia, often identifying a song within seconds. She was also known for constantly quoting her favorite movies, including “The Breakfast Club” and “Moonstruck”.

Christmas was Tricia’s favorite holiday, though she would tell everyone it was Halloween. When November 1st came it was Christmas music and movies nonstop- particularly “A Christmas Story” and “Elf” and she would be shopping for more gingerbread decorations for her collection.

Though her time here was far too short, Tricia filled her life and the lives of those around her with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by everyone lucky enough to know her.

Her legacy of humor, love, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to nurses Jenna, Abbey, Marie, and Meghan, for their compassion, kindness, and exceptional care. Their support and comfort meant so much to Tricia and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
