Obituary
Whitesboro- Arthur “Art” Holyoke Jr., 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare.
He was born on March 7, 1943, in Virginia, a son of the late Arthur Sr and Eldine (Steeves) Holyoke. Art graduated and went on to serve his country in the US Air Force as a Jet Engine Mechanic. On June 8, 1968 he married Maria Pedone in St. Anthony’s Church, Utica, a blessed union of 54 years. Art was employed with Chicago Pneumatic until his retirement. In his spare time, you could find him hunting and fishing, as they were two of his favorite past-times.
Art is survived by his loving wife, Maria; his two sons, Gary and David Holyoke; granddaughter, Erica; great-granddaughter Madison; sisters-in-law, Nancy Engle and Renee Guilisano Pedone; brother-in-law Michael (Doris) Pedone and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister; two brothers; brothers-in-law, Angelo Pedone and Mark Engle.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, April 19,2023 from 4-6 PM at the Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home, 1122 Culver Ave, Utica. Funeral services will commence immediately following visitation at 6pm. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Utica.
