Mr. Bernard T. McKenney, age 77, of Utica, passed away on Sunday April 19, 2020 at the Presbyterian Nursing Center with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Utica on May 24, 1942 a son of the late Bernard and Helen Carlson McKenney and graduated from St. Francis deSales High School. On May 4, 1963 he was married to Diane Cormie in St. Francis deSales Church, a blessed union of 57 years. Bernard was employed for over 27 years with the Great American Food Markets, as the produce manager until his retirement. He was a member of the UFCW Union. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, his family will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

Surviving are his loving and devoted wife Diane; two daughters and sons-in-law Kelly and George Dixon of Cheektowaga, NY and Shannon and Jason Ciccone of Utica; one son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Claire McKenney of Sauquoit; his cherished grandchildren Matthew and Lisa Dixon, Amanda Dixon and Thomas Dixon; Isabella, Jack and Max Ciccone; Madison and Aiden McKenney and Timothy Skjellerup; three great-grandchildren Kaden, Sydney and Lincoln Dixon; one sister Barbara Circelli of Utica; one brother Donald McKenney of AZ.; brother-in-law Robert White and many, nieces, nephews and his beloved canine companions Benji and Oliver. He was predeceased by sisters Patricia McKenney and Helen Mary White; brother Peter McKenney and wife Joann; in-laws Ralph Circelli and Phyllis McKenney and his mother-in-law Irene Cormie.

In keeping with the CDC guidelines and current health concerns, the family will honor Bernard at a private time. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Please keep Bernard and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Online sympathy at www.scalaroefaro.com.
