Obituary
Caroline (Joanne) Gorea, age 76, formerly of Utica, passed away on Friday March 24, 2023, at Henderson Hospital in Nevada, from a 13 year battle with cancer, with her daughter by her side.
She was born November 9,1946, in Meridian, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Vincent and Dorothy Carbone. Caroline worked several years in casinos in Las Vegas as a bingo agent. She made many friends over her career and considered many of her coworkers as family. Caroline (Joanne) will always be remembered as a devoted mother, NaNa, and a loyal friend.
Surviving her are her loving children, son, John Gorea, Jr. and wife Talitha of Deerfield and daughter, Kelly and her husband Paul McConnachie of Henderson, NV., along with her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Joseph and Ian McConnachie; one sister-in-law, Elaine Gorea and one brother-in-law, George Luther several nieces, nephews, cousins, including two special cousins, Philomena Stauring of Frankfort and Margaret Sebregandio of Davie, FL; and many dear friends, especially her best friends Chris Muto and Civita Allard Utica, NY, along with Yolanda Burke and Robin Lozano of Henderson, NV. She was previously married to John P. Gorea (Utica, NY). She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Luther, and two dear friends, Jackie and Rick Turpin.
Service will be held Monday, May 15th, 2023, at 6:00 pm, at the LDS Church at Mission Hills 801 Arrowhead Trail, Henderson, NV, 89002
