Dorothy Jackson Tallini, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

She was born on February 18, 1934 in Ilion a daughter of the late LaVerne Rowland Jackson and Edna Mae Belle Brown. Dorothy had a lifelong thirst for learning and received her associate degree from Utica College. After completing nursing school, she went on to work with Dr. Albert Shkane and eventually Oneida County until her retirement. Her grandkids, NASCAR and classical music we’re her passions.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Jackson and Susan Kaupie-Jackson, Greenwich CT; her beloved grandchildren, Nicholas Jackson, NYC, Jeffrey B. Jackson and Kaileigh W. Jackson both of CT; sister-in-law, Geraldine Jackson, as well as and her nephews, Dr. Brian Jackson, New Hartford and Mark Jackson, Utica. Dorothy was predeceased by her son, Jeremy Satkiewicz and brothers, Norman and LaVerne Jackson.

A very special thank you to those who provided loving care and contributed to Dottie’s health and happiness in her later years. In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, her family will honor her life privately. She will be laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery.
