Frank "Big Frank" Trombetta

Mr. Frank “BIG FRANK” Trombetta, age 58, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 30, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center with his loving family by his side.

He was born June 16, 1962 in Utica a son of the late Rudy and Angela Gelfuso Trombetta He graduated from UFA and worked side by side with his father Rudy Trombetta. Frank was an honest and hardworking painter, well known in the Utica community. He was the rock of the family and loved hunting, music, and his BIG RED MONSTER TRUCK. He always showered his family with unconditional love, support and affection. Frank always did so much for his family and loved ones, he was selfless and never selfish with his time and energy.

This loving husband, leaves behind his wife Debbie Trombetta (Saunders); a devoted father to his five children, his one and only son Frank Jr. Trombetta and  (Jasmin Diaz); four daughters Angela, Yolanda (Micah), Nichole and LeAnn Trombetta; his grandchildren Makiyah, Micah, Dominik, Ezra, Ma’niyah, Giono, Izek and also an unborn grandchild yet to enter the world. He is also survived by his stepmother Doris Trombetta; his sisters Darlene King (Harold), Maria Hilley (Walt), Debbie Campbell, Rose Rubino and (Big Marc). He leaves his dear mother in-law Marianne Saunders and special brother in-law Mikey Saunders and many loved nieces and nephews. A special acknowledgement to Jessica and Steve DeRocco and the “Mosher Clan.” He leaves behind many true friends who will hold his memory in their hearts. He was predeceased by his parents   Rudy and Angela Trombetta; his brother and sister Gino and Linda Rose Trombetta; brother in-law Donald Saunders and cousin Dicky Fisher.

The Trombetta family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth Medical Center for their compassion during this difficult time.

Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Prayer services will be at 4:00 pm. All COVID protocols will be required, face masks, social distancing and trace signing. We are operating at a limited capacity, only ten persons may enter at a time as ten persons exit. We ask for your patience.
