Josephine T. (Lee) Kilburn

UTICA- Josephine T. (Lee) Kilburn, age 92, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, with the love of her family in her heart.

She was born on November 27, 1930, in Utica, a daughter of the late Edward and Julia (Calogero) Lee and graduated from T. R. Proctor High School. On December 27, 1952, she married Frederick W. Kilburn in Mt. Carmel Church, a blessed union of 70 years.

Josephine is survived by her loving husband Fred; her son, Lance (Barbara) Kilburn, CT; her daughter, Gayle Kilburn of Yorkville; her adored grandchildren, Justin Kilburn (Gwen Connors), Rachel Kilburn (Alex Paradis), Gabriella Cruz and Leo Cruz; her four sisters, Edwina “Cindy” Fitzpatrick, Utica, Theresa (Robert) Aliasso, Utica, Kathleen “Kay” (Donald) Broccoli, Utica and Rosalind “Roz” Lee, New Hartford; her two brothers, Richard (Joan) Lee, and David Lia, all of SC; sister-in-law, Barbara Lee and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Deacon John Lee and Carmen (Aline) Lee and brother-in-law Robert Fitzpatrick.

In keeping with Josephine’s wishes funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their extreme gratitude and appreciation to the staff and residents of Wiley Hall at the Masonic Care Community for the friendship, love and care they have provided to Josephine and Fred.
