Obituary

Mrs. Mary Grace (Cappelli) Moschetto, age 92, of Utica, passed away on Saturday December 12, 2020 at the Valley Health Services Center in Herkimer.

She was born on January 1, 1928 in Utica, a daughter of the late Pietro and Ersilia Bernardi Cappelli, and was a graduate of TR Proctor High School, Class of 1946. While in high school she was a Candy Striper Volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Following high school Mary’s work career began at the Oneida National Bank & Trust Co. retiring from the Trust Dept. after 40 years of dedicated service.

On May 29, 1971 she was united in marriage to Frank Moschetto in St. Anthony’s Church, a blessed union of 40 years, until his passing on March 1, 2012.

She was a parishioner of St. Anthony/St. Agnes Church, the Legion of the Sacred Heart and the Alter Rosary Society. She also was an annual volunteer for the St. Anthony and St. Cosmas & Damiano Festivals.

Surviving are her beloved sister, Annette Graziano of Utica; and her loving nieces and nephews of the Graziano, Gagliano, Tutino and Moschetto families and also the Bernardi cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers-in-law Clara and Dominick Gagliano, Teresa and Amery Tutino, Philip Graziano, Livia and Clarence Knapp, Rose Pabes, Dominick, William and Patsy Moschetto, Shirley Moschetto; and nephew and niece Frank and Linda Gagliano.  

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Mark Kaminski officiating. Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the staff of the Valley Health Services Center for their care and compassion given to Mary throughout the years.
