Philip Donlon, Jr.

Mr. Philip Donlon, Jr. age 22, of Utica passed away unexpectedly on Friday May 27, 2022, at home.

He was born in New Hartford, NY on May 23, 2000, a son of Philip Sr. and Maria Donlon. He graduated from Proctor High School in 2018. He enjoyed listening to music, camping, dirt bike riding, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Philip was at one time employed with Granny’s Kitchen Co. in Frankfort with his boss and friend Mike Melvin.

Surviving is his beloved son Philip Donlon III,; his parents Philip Sr. and Maria Donlon; his sister Ashley Donlon; his girlfriend Shawnna Slattery; his paternal grandfather Charles Donlon; his maternal grandparents Gladys and Stanley Sychtysz and his aunts and uncles Henry and Sara Donlon; Charles and Beth Donlon; Beth and Luis Ruiz; Michelle Davis; Shawn Sychtysz; many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Deanna Donlon and his Aunt Melissa Donlon.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-7 pm at The Scala & Roefaro Funeral Home Inc. 1122 Culver Ave. Utica. His Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in Historic Old St. John’s Church, Downtown Utica. Private interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, New Hartford. The family wants to thank the Utica Police and Fire Department for all they have done to help.
